Doctoral Thesis entitled "Characterization of mRNA expression and localization in synaptic plasticity". This Thesis was performed under the supervision of Dr Carme Gallego.Acquired skills:- Design and development of basic research under GLPs- Experience in preparing documentation including laboratory procedures and SOPs, scientific projects and high-impact Q1 research publications.- Familiar with literature review. - Ability to effectively communicate findings.- Data analysis, statistics and evaluation and interpretation of analytical results.- Effective time and budget management and strong priorization and organizational skills. Technical skills:- Cell culture: Neuronal primary and cell lines cultures, transfection, transduction and lentiviral production.- Molecular biology: Molecular cloning, site-directed mutagenesis, PCR, RT-qPCR, DNA/RNA extraction and purification, protein purification, WB, IP and proximity labelling techniques.- Microscopy: Fluorescence and confocal, live-imaging, FRAP, FRET.- Bioinformatics: Proteomics analysis, primer design, microscopy image analysis, statistical analysis, graphical representation of data.

My Master's Final Project was entitled “The role of eEF1A2 in synaptic plasticity”. Our work was focused on the eukaryotic elongation factor 1A (eEF1A), taking into account that it is implicated in protein translation but it also interacts with actin, suggesting that it may have a key role in synaptic plasticity. Elucidating the underlying mechanisms of eEF1A2 may help in understanding local protein translation regulation in neurons, an essential process in synaptic plasticity. Therefore, our main goal was to analyze the functional relevance of eEF1A2 phosphorylation in synaptic plasticity.

Conducting workshops and science visits for elementary school and high school students in the "Recerca en societat" programme.

My Bachelor's Degree Final Project was entitled "Expanding insights of mitophagy and mitochondrial morphology in a Parkinson's disease genetic model". The aim of this project was to evaluate mitochondrial morphology and mitophagy in a PD genetic model.
