I am a collaborative drug discovery team leader & translational scientist with extensive cross-functional team leadership experience. Serving as point of contact/lead for multiple programs, I led biology strategy, provided program management of large cross-functional teams within a matrix environment. My experience spans across the pre-clinical portfolio from early target discovery, target validation, hit to lead opt and candidate selection, exploratory/translational biomarkers, and IND-enabling studies. I am proud to have served on a large cross-functional team that collaborated to bring 1 CNS metabolic disease small molecule program to clinic. In the early discovery space, I've led platform-based target ID efforts in collaboration with computational & human genetics teams using multi-modal data to bring several novel targets to the portfolio in less than 3 years. Uniquely, I am well-versed with AI/ Machine learning applications to bridge across disciplines to enable collaboration. My 10 yrs of post-PhD research experience spans neuroscience and metabolic disease indications. I have managed and mentored junior scientists teams to deliver key decision making datasets to the portfolio. My external-facing experience include: forging and managing external collaborations, KOL relationships and end to end CRO project management. I have also led cross-functional scientific due diligence efforts for novel targets & external assets.
