Registered psychologist (AB) with over 10 plus years experience in both the assessment and treatment in infant, preschool and school aged children. Specialized and extensive experience in diagnostic assessment for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Over 15 years of experience working with families with children on the Autism Spectrum, areas include: intervention, supporting parents through the diagnosis process, and positive behaviour management. Working with families I had the privilege of being a liaison between school, home, and providers to advocate for consistency and family needs. Not only has my diagnostic assessment training come from leading experts in the field of ASD, I have a broad range of intervention experience and training. Including level III certification in Pivotal Response Treatment and the Social ABCs: A Parent Training Early Intervention Program. In addition to formal education, I have received certificates in positive behaviour management. Understanding children's needs through formalized assessment measures is an important contribution to ensuring their needs are met. However, I have always appreciated and focused on the intervention/support side as well. I use my background in counselling to ensure parents and children are heard and build strategies around each unique family. I have over 10 plus years of experience offering counselling and therapy to children, teenagers, and adults. I have completed Level 2 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy and a certified Gottman Seven Principles Leader. This training gives me the added expertise in supporting couples and the parental relationship within the family unit. I work with integrity, transparency, kindness, and understanding in all my work with individuals and teams. I provide services that are caring, respectful, and confidential in a highly ethical manner.
