I'm an experienced transport & mobility specialist working in the international public policy and road safety space.I have been at iRAP since 2015. iRAP is a small organisation with global reach working to eliminate road deaths and serious injuries worldwide. It's a vision I'm really passionate about. And as the Global Innovation Manager and Cities Specialist, I get to work on the ‘cutting edge’ projects, such as harnessing big data to improve road safety and developing tools to improve safety for pedestrians, cyclings and users of micro mobility in cities. In past roles with the Australian Government, I held key roles in Australia's cities' policy development and high-speed rail studies, and aviation safety in the Pacific region. What qualified me for such roles you might ask? My Bachelors degree was in Psychology and Drama (both of which have been surprisingly useful over the years). I have a Masters in Development Practice focused in Development Planning. Both are from the beautiful University of Queensland in my hometown of Brisbane. I passionately advocate for green, safe urban transport systems - particularly bicycling. My dream would be to reverse the relentless trend toward human habitats being sliced and diced by large, high speed roads, and transform cities into green, healthy and liveable spaces designed for people, regardless of age, ability, gender or ethnicity.
