Project ranged from application changes to build and connection of servers to client network. Building housed a 10,000 square foot data center and support facilities, and included a 1,500 kW generator and 500 kVA uninterruptible power supply system. Project resulted in an IBM application brief and numerous references.▪ Fortune 500 Wood Products Firm: Performed the relocation of a corporate 20,000 square foot data center. Worked with extensive client team including operations, applications, and management. Client celebrated project's success with evening gala.▪ Web Service Provider: Managed the design and construction of 2,500 square feet of high-rise office and data center space for e-business client in design/build fashion. Completed within ten weeks, this project resulted in high customer satisfaction and an IBM application brief.▪ Fortune 50 Retail Firm: Managed design and construction of a building to house new chilled water system, including two 200-ton chillers, associated cooling towers, pumps, and controls to achieve state-of-the-art environmental control for main data center operation.▪ Fortune 500 Wood Products Firm: Managed design and construction of a major renovation of existing 18,000 square foot data center, while maintaining full operations. Renovation included installation of raised floor, water detection system, air conditioning, suspended ceiling, and seismic bracing for data processing equipment.

Projects involved the design and construction of numerous construction projects throughout IBM Boulder plant site, most of which was converted from manufacturing space to office or data center use. Projects involved cost estimation, subcontractor selection and management, design with use of AutoCAD and CATIA, bid, scheduling, and construction management. Sample projects include:▪ IBM Boulder Plant: Designed and managed the design and construction of numerous construction projects throughout IBM Boulder plant site, including installation of over 20,000 square feet of raised access floor.▪ IBM Building 006 Structural Renovation: Transformed a manufacturing building into a raised floor and office environment. This included major structural modifications and the construction of a room to house a 3,000 kVA UPS system (3-750 kVA modules with 1-750 kVA redundant module).▪ Human Factors Laboratory Design and Construction: Designed a monitoring and testing laboratory for usability of new software prior to its release. State-of-the-art design included raised floor, one-way viewing capabilities, ceiling-mounted equipment, noise control, audio and visual functions, and room-darkening capabilities.
