As a dynamic and committed advocate and professional with eight years of direct and ever-larger assignments in nonprofit management, I have developed a balanced set of skills to be successful in any environment where social justice, a commitment to the community, and leadership are important. In each role, from serving as a Resident Assistant at Villanova to my positions with AmeriCorps and Success Academy, I have used my energy, commitment, and passion to make a positive difference. I am committed to ongoing professional development and learning. After completing my coursework in December 2017, I received my Master of Science degree in Education and Special Education (MS Ed.) from Touro College in June 2018.My work at Success Academy and Mary, Mother of the Redeemer School and Parish has been especially rewarding. My effort and results have been recognized with promotions allowing me to coach and develop other teachers. More importantly, we work together to give every child a chance to succeed, regardless of their challenges outside the classroom, and they all do. At Mary, Mother of the Redeemer I have worked tirelessly to continue to offer students the best education possible by hosting fundraiser, writing grants, and working on a Capital Campaign Improvement project. It is fulfilling work. Also, I am energized by working in cross-cultural environments. I have lived and studied in Colombia and Spain, and I have traveled extensively, with 15 countries stamped in my passport. This has made me more sensitive of the needs of people from other cultures and has made me more effective in my work. LET’S CONNECT! I will look forward to getting back in touch with colleagues and classmates while also meeting and learning from other leaders in non-profit and/or education organizations.
