I’m a New York-based artist whose brand of gestural abstraction is a form of story-telling. Rooted in the traditions of abstract expressionism, my world is best described as colorful and rhythmic and my paintings reflect an evolving universe where communication is less concrete.Since the beginning of my career, I've had the pleasure of working with private collectors, television producers, interior designers, editors, bloggers, real estate developers, galleries, curators, art dealers, shop owners, and more. I am available for commissions and would love to work together or collaborate on a project.I’ve shown my work at the American Academy of Arts and Letters in New York City, the National Association of Women Artists, Frieze Los Angeles, Art Market Hamptons, PULSE Art Fair, The National Arts Club, and the New York Mercantile Exchange, among others. I have participated in a number of group shows across the United States, Canada, Europe, South America and Asia.My work can currently be purchased directly or through Kefi Gallery in Toronto, RoGallery in NYC, and Chairish.Though I’m primarily self-taught, I was classically trained as an artist as a teenager until I pursued other interests in college and eventually went to law school. After working for several years as a corporate attorney, I decided to chase my passion. I work out of my studio in the lower Hudson Valley and my process-oriented art explores themes of the human condition and self-reflection. I work to create sculptural surfaces through my heavily layered impasto technique and my paintings exhibit a compulsive energy and the dynamic tension between reckless abandon and careful restraint. I’m a first generation American strongly tied to both my Cuban and Argentinian roots and I explore this important piece of my identity through my paintings. My work has been featured in various publications including The Washington Post, Popular Photography, Create Magazine, Art Seen and Westchester Magazine. In 2019, the Director of PULSE Art Fair in Miami invited me to participate in the “Next Generation” exhibit to celebrate the fair’s 15th anniversary and I was inducted into the National Association of Women Artists in 2022.
