I am a hard worker and quick learner who attacks tasks with vigor, creativity and organization. I pay close attention to detail and enjoy problem solving and team brainstorming. I am dependable and take creative initiative when given a task. My professional experience so far has taught me that I am passionate about working with youth and working to transform the lives of children.I successfully completed DC Teaching fellows, a highly-selective cohort of recent college graduates and career-changers committed to raising student achievement in the District of Columbia. I am certified to teach Special Education K-12. While at DCPS I taught in an early learning support classroom (formally "self-contained") and was effective under DCPS IMPACT. I currently teach special education at KIPP DC. While at Invisible Children as the PR assistant, I organized, restructured and updated the organization's media list in it's CRM, Salesforce and regularly pitched to local and national media. I was also a part of initial team brainstorming for the organization's most recent campaign, KONY 2012 while being the main media contact during its launch.
