I am the Director of Client Relations & Executive Services for Great Minds in STEM (GMiS) a leading, national 501c(3) Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) educational awareness organization, committed to the advancement of STEM careers in underserved communities. I joined GMiS in the year 2000 and served in several capacities including Conference Manager, Viva Technology Manager, Interim Education Programs Director and Senior Manager of Contracts and Grants. With over 13 years of STEM education program experience, I was part of the design teams for the Viva Technology Program™ and the STEM-Up™ Initiative.Currently, I oversee the Professional Programs Division for the GMiS organization. This new division encompasses all aspects of GMiS’ interaction with STEM professionals from across the country, including the HENAAC awards and nominations process.Over six years of experience with Federal Contracts and I currently serve as the Program Manager for two of the organizations large government contracts, the STEM-Up™ Initiative and the STEM Awareness Program Blanket Purchase Agreement for Federal Agencies for which I oversee all contractual aspects including communication with contractors and contract administrators, negotiations, amendments and the documentation of scheduled deliverables. I also work closely with the Director of Education programs and the education team to ensure that all programmatic milestones and contract deliverables are met.I am a licensed attorney in the state of California.
