The focus of the Resilience and Relationships course on the Master of Education program is on social and emotional learning (SEL). In an approach that engages Brofenbrenner's ecological systems theory (1979) in programs such as School Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS) and a variety of prevention programes to address issues such as bullying and gender based violence.

Teaching Drama for the development of expressive/communicative skills, as a core subject for international students on the Foundation Studies program.

My positions here were contract based, at times specifically replacing a Drama teacher on leave for two terms and a English/ History teacher on leave for one term. With these positions I taught Drama across all secondary school levels; English to year eight, nine and eleven and History to year eleven. I also worked as a general substitute teacher in a mix of subject areas and class levels in this time period.

My role involed working with another teacher in the coordination of curriculum and timetables for drama calsses that ranged from year three in primary school to year twelve in secondary school. We devised a programme that focussed on creating a safe space for improvisational exploration and the exploration and development of expressive, communicative skills.
