Paradis Beachcomber Golf Resort & Spa is one of the finest luxury hotels in Mauritius. It is situated on LE Morne Peninsula, giving access to the sister hotel, Dinarobin Beachcomber Gold Resort & Spa. The Group and Incentives department operates on the peninsula of both hotels. We were in charge of groups of 20 pax and above on both hotels.As a Group and Incentives Trainee, I was responsible for liaising with clients/agents to accommodate their needs and wants. Furthermore, as requests came upon, the preparation for group arrival, on-site coordination, overall planning, organisation of events and closure of accounts were fulfilled by my team and I.

My 4th semester in Diploma in Events Management was a 20-week internship at Impact Force Event Management company, located in Kuala Lumpur. I was based in the events department where I was given various tasks: design proposals, create presentations, research and source for suppliers. This internship has allowed me to broaden my knowledge. I was given the opportunity to communicate with different suppliers and was exposed to various situations; clients would ask for changes and explanations in the specific concept chosen and whether they were feasible or not.
