Thanks to various voluntary and professional roles, I continuously develop crucial transferrable skills, such as problem-solving, time management, working independently, and contributing to a team. Over the years I have also been able to cultivate arguably some of the most important (in my view) qualities, such as self-motivation, determination, and limitless curiosity.The roles that have shaped my current knowledge and experience include:Volunteer First responder for the Salvation Army's Anti-trafficking unit,Learning coach at Merton College,As an assistant psychologist at the Kensington and Chelsea's Home treatment team, during my placement year,A volunteer telephone operator at the CNWL 'Check-in and Chat' service,A volunteer telephone operator at Hestia's Domestic abuse unit,As well as various positions within the hospitality industry, which (as people with similar experience may agree) definitely help you build a 'thick skin'.Since graduating from the University of Westminster with a 1st class in BSc 'Psychology and Counselling, I have maintained my interest in exploring new grounds.
