In my private practice I offer open ended or time limited therapy for clients to explore and refocus on issues affecting their quality of life as we can sometimes get stuck in an ever repeating cycle. Through therapy we can explore, learn and move on.In my private practice people come from all walks of life to explore areas of difficulties they are experience. The aim is to work collaboratively to gain greater understanding of what is going on for each person in a confidential and professional environment. Ultimately finding a way forward and thereby enhance their quality of life, regain their energy and enjoyment.I provide face to face counselling in several secondary schools. My clients come with a wide spectrum of problems and I work with the young people in a non judgemental, confidential and professional way offering emotional and psychological support. I offer clinical supervision and consultative supervision for counsellors and people in other helping professions either in person or on Skype.I see supervision as a place in which a supervisee can review, reflect and explore their work with their clients. I offer feedback and guidance so that the supervisees can give their best to their clients in a safe and professional relationship.The clinical supervision I offer is based upon my regard for individual's own training and philosophy. I believe in the importance of Roger's Core Conditions and my aim is to apply these in our working alliance to offer safety, containment and the possibility to grow professionally and personally.At present I supervise two groups and several individual counsellors - in training and qualified - on a regular basis - I attend regular consultative supervision.

At St Catherine's Hospice I have been working as a counsellor for bereaved client, their families, and for terminally ill patients as a volunteer for several years.I now work for St Catherine's as a clinical supervisor for groups of counsellors.

I was working as a school counsellor for two secondary school with CCS.In this workplace I had to organise and manage my own client load; liase with Heads of Schools, my link persons and other agencies involved with the young people.I adhere to company policies; annual meetings and presenting annual reports to the schools and the agency.

I have provided a comprehensive time limited counselling service to the college community from assessment through to counselling either by myself or my colleague. I worked in a time limited environment and after the allocated session clients either moved on, needed referring on or had the opportunity of returning should the need arise.
