I am a multi-disciplinary artist born in Bogotá, Colombia. I studied fashion design in Rome & Paris, Photography in London and NYC, In 1994, I relocated to NYC to pursue a career in the arts. I enjoy directing and producing diverse projects, from complex multimedia installations and public art commissions to artists’ books and textile objects. I see no boundaries between the applied and fine arts or any other form of channeling creation. In addition to having a very active professional artistic practice, I am very curious, so throughout my life, I have studied and have practiced Tai-chi, I-Ching, meditation, nutrition, astrology with various Taoists, Buddhists teachers. I create environments where I materialize my emotional state. Challenging the audience’s own perception of what they consider real I generate a platform where I induce connection by exploring, interacting and at times by focusing on an object - place - scene for a duration of time in a manner that is both meditative and investigative. By intervening the architecture of public space, into moving walls, interactive installations, light encasements, and glass mosaics. These create mesmerizing experiences that are painterly in nature providing a space for temporary abstraction subtly transporting the mind elsewhere.Recently, expansion is taking form creating content to be experienced. Drawing from my long-standing themes of cyclical time and materialization of self-knowledge through form, I have embraced textile making, generating podcasts, and readings of astrological charts as actions where the mystical and the material coexist. The plurality of forms, the amalgam of experience that overload our senses is the ultimate form of art since it is through the hyper-sensorial that art runs across experiences and subjectivities; the multiplicity of mediums and their relationship not only to our mind but to our body is expressed through these multi-modal pieces I create.

My work as an educator, visiting artist and mentor are ways for me to share my methodology focused on the way we each perceive the world in a unique way by becoming aware of our emotions and using them as powerful creative tools, as well as teaching the most of practical aspects of being an artist and managing and artistic studio|practice. My approach is supported by combining ancient techniques and broad experience in the art field. Emotional integration is the core of my expression thus connecting, communicating and inspiring are the main components of my practice and through teaching, I provide a platform for others to become aware of their own practice/ methodology and in that sense empower them to follow their own path, and to take full responsibility for the work they are making and to properly manage it.Studio visits are an important part of my role as an educator because it constitutes an enriching experience in which I establish and discuss connections between the artwork, my own perception of the work and render a space during the visit for the artist to become fully aware of their emotional and subconscious state. I SEE NO BOUNDARIES BETWEEN THE APPLIED AND FINE ARTS. I AM INSPIRED BY THE ATELIER OF SONIA DELAUNAY (1885–1979), AN AVANT-GARDE ARTIST WHOSE WORK ENCOMPASSED PAINTING, FASHION, GRAPHICS, TEXTILE, AND STAGE DESIGN.IN ADDITION TO HAVING A VERY ACTIVE PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE AS AN ARTIST I AM VERY CURIOUS; STUDIO OF ENDLESS IDEAS AN ARTIST-BASED DIGITAL PLATFORM THAT ALLOWS ME TO INTEGRATE AND SHARE A BROAD RANGE OF INTERESTS SUCH AS:- A PERSONAL ARCHIVE OF INFLUENCES- PODCAST SERIES: IN SYNCHRONICITY: DISSOLVING ALL CATEGORIES THAT ARE LIMITING OUR CAPACITY TO INTEGRATE ALL SIDES OF OURSELVES IN ORDER TO LIVE MEANINGFUL LIFE.- TEXTILE-OBJEKT TAKE ME BACK TO MY ESSENCE, INTEGRATING MY SENSIBILITY WITH MY STUDIES IN FASHION AND TEXTILE DESIGN: SHOP:- VARIED TEACHING WORKSHOPS DEPENDING ON THE CLIENTS NEEDS- ONLINE ASTROLOGICAL READINGS
