About Monika Nowaczyk

Born in Poland, raised in Canada, Cambodia based social entrepreneur and consultant with experience across the private and public sectors. CEO of Beebee+Bongo and Chief Knitting Officer of Cambodia Knits. Consultant to NGO and UN projects in business compliance, women's inclusion, education. I wear many hats, sometimes at the same time, but in all of them I am passionate about making the world a better, fairer place for women.I am a creative, flexible, and impact-driven leader who thrives on leading teams across multicultural and diverse country contexts. With a genuine passion for collaboration and growth, I find joy in sharing my skills, knowledge, and experiences while coaching and mentoring others to reach their full potential. I take joy in connecting across spheres and sectors. As an empathetic leader, I prioritize creating an inclusive environment where every team member can thrive and contribute and develop their unique strengths. I believe that the collective power of a team is greater than any individual's efforts, and I am equally fulfilled when working side by side with a team or guiding others towards success.Education has always been close to my heart, and my journey as a leader has been further enriched by my role as a mother to a precocious and creative ten-year-old destined for the performing arts. This experience has heightened my awareness of the crucial role that creativity plays in teaching and learning. I believe that incorporating creativity as a foundational component, rather than an afterthought, is essential for nurturing all minds and fostering holistic development and that global education systems are failing the young in great numbers with the persistent drive towards test results. But it's not all serious around here...I thrive on light heartedness, fun and regular outbursts of sarcasm, and try to bring humour and fun to all my roles. We can do serious and important things, but we need to remain humble and not always take ourselves too seriously. Laughter is a cure and a preventative. Also, I swear, scuba dive, read a lot of books, and prefer lip sync battles to karaoke.
