Procurement Manager
CurrentThe primary role of the procurement and quotation manager is to obtain, evaluate and process quotations & invoices for sites. Responsibilities in order of magnitude:1. Obtain quotations from suppliers. • Source 3 comparative quotations for clients and developments• Meet new suppliers • Check supplier’s references and do reference on work done.2. Evaluate quotations • Ensure all quotes meet the same specifications • Communicate all procurement items to clients for approval 3. Appoint and /or order • Request client to appoint sub-contractors, give guidance where necessary• Process any orders as formally submitted • Follow up on orders and deliveries 4. Cost recons • PC recons on projects to be done on weekly basis. • Budget meetings with clients and directors. • Update recons on regular basis. 5. Schedule with suppliers Update suppliers when they are scheduled to be onsite and liaise with site manager on appointed sub-contractors.6. Site prep • Assist with Contractors board.• Assist with toilets and skips.• Assist with plant and tool hire. • Manage subcontractors on site• Weekly site meetings to update schedules • Do snag checks on final stages • Manage contractors to meet their scheduled goals
