An educator of over 20 years, Monique’s experience spans across a range of public and private settings and grade levels. As the owner and president of VISTAS Education Partners, Monique leads a diverse team supporting blind and low vision students and their educational teams. In 2020, Monique founded the National Homework Hotline to support blind and low vision students during remote education. This volunteer-driven service continues to serve students across the United States. A public servant and civic leader, Monique serves on her local school board and is a trustee for a few local organizations that support arts and education. Visually Impaired Students Total Access Services (VISTAS) is an outgrowth of Monique’s extensive experience as an educator in the field of blindness and visual impairments. VISTAS provides Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVI) instructional and consultative services for students who are blind or visually impaired in K-12 schools throughout New Jersey. VISTAS Education Partners also provides community-based enrichment programs that promote the education of kids with visual impairments in essential areas of the Expanded Core Curriculum.
