Supporting the Timmins Woodlands team, in facilitating the harvest and delivery of 1,000,000m³ SPF round wood from five forests in the area to the Timmins and Ostrom Mills. This task also includes quality control as well as the financial aspects such as budgeting and contract negotiation. The wood is harvested and delivered under an approved Safe Workplace Ontario Certified program.

Recruited and onboarded new logging contractors and logging trucks. Supported the Woodlands team with health and safety, production, quality, aggregate annual remittance, and water crossing tracking. Supported the Woodlands Manager with the contractor contract and invoice management, pay and quality issues, roads funding invoicing, as well as creating the budget.

Accomplishments:Continuous process improvement to create cost reductions and to maintain competitiveness in the industry. Was able to maintain profitability through government mandated wage increases.Developed and implemented engagement and retention strategies for all employees. This initiative was noticed in the community and I was invited to speaker at the Timmins Chamber of Commerce Human Resource Conference "Keeping your Employees Motivated".Aligned all the resources to be the first firewood contractor to deliver all the wood on time and on spec for Ontario Parks. Approx. 200,000 cubic feet annually from 2014 to 2018. Deliveries were made to ~40 parks in the province from the Manitoba border to Lake Erie and as far east as Mattawa.Identified a need and created a seasonal employee sharing program. This program matches two employers with a need for employees in opposite season and connects them, thus creating full time employment and securing the returning seasonal worker. Proven savings in recruitment and training.
