I currently work in Community Development and Grants Funding at the City of Greater Dandenong. I provide information and advice on grants funding programs, partnerships and sponsorships delivered by or in conjuction with Council. I work with government (local, state and federal) and not-for-profit organisations to deliver amazing grass roots projects that benefit the community. I can draw on my background in community development and strategic planning to facilitate relationships and connect groups with local resources.

I am a local government representative on the Victorian Multicultural Commission (VMC) Southern Regional Advisory Council. Part of this role is to:• Inform the Commission about issues and challenges impacting multicultural communities in their region. • Keep the Commission abreast on matters of multicultural affairs, settlement, access to services and citizenships issues, including equitable outcomes for multicultural communities. • Assist the Commission in its commitment to multicultural affairs in the local regions, including promoting the benefits of cultural, linguistic and religious diversity. • Identify potential pathways and opportunities for participation and connecting communities, activities and events to strengthen community capacity.

Dandenong

I originally gained employment with the City of Greater Dandenong as a Community Development Officer before transitioning into funding. In this position I worked on Council policies and plans, formed relationships with local communities and delivered projects aimed at supporting community health and wellbeing initiatives.

I joined St Catherine's School through a connection made from my previous role at St Margaret's Anglican Girls' School. This was a role I worked to support the school on weekends and evenings to compliment my fulltime work as a Community Development Officer with Greater Dandenong. In this role I worked with students in a casual pastoral care capacity to assist their positive development into educated, young women.

I joined Moreton Bay Regional Council shortly after finishing my work experience placement with Bundaberg Regional Council. My role included delivering the community funding program, project managing events and programs that supported Council's community development initiatives and forming relationships with local community groups.

Brisbane, Australia

I worked with students in a casual pastoral care capacity to assist their positive development into educated, young women. This includes assisting students with developing study plans for a school and life balance, supporting students to problem solve personal challenges and working with the boarding community to provide a positive environment for learning and personal development. This role was originally full time during University study before switching to assist on weekends due to employment in my field of study. This role was by far one of my most enjoyable roles due to the daily contact with students and watching them grow into wonderful people.

In my final year of undergraduate studies towards my Urban Planning Degree, I was invited to intern with the Queensland Parliament to focus on a topic with a local MP. I spent six months working a research report for the Member for Bulimba, Aaron Dillaway on soft and hard infrastructure solutions for Bulimba.

Bundaberg, Australia

I worked for Bundaberg Regional Council to gain work experience as an Urban Planner. I completed a number of development assessments and administrative tasks, gave planning advise to local residents and assisted the team with planning functions such as input into Council's revised strategic plan, site visits and assessing applications.
