I'm Monique Rizzi, 27, Geologist and PhD Student in Geology, currently working as a Research Assistant II and as an autonomous in the field of Environmental Geology. During my career, I have worked in Sedimentary Geology, Geochemistry, Geochronology, and Geology and Environmental Management, with an emphasis on the academic area and scientific research. Internships carried out in governmental environmental agencies during graduation are an important part of my trajectory, as well as participation in research projects. In my master's degree, I developed research in Coastal Geology, working with sedimentation studies of Quaternary deposits on the coast of Rio Grande do Sul and their provenance, through the analysis of U-Pb and Lu-Hf isotopes. Currently, I have been working with the geochemical and geochronological evolution of the Brazilian and Uruguayan south margin, and in the doctorate program, developing studies with organic geochemistry of the Amazon Cone.Developing science is my passion. Besides, characteristics such as proactivity, leadership, and team support are evidenced from an early age through participation in student groups, as president of the Student Union at school, and later at university, as secretary and co-founder of the AAPG Unisinos Student Chapter, and later as Event Coordinator and President in the same group.

To this end, fieldwork was carried out in the Rio Grande do Sul Coastal Plain and in the sedimentology, imaging, and isotopic geology laboratories, covering the collection, treatment, preparation, and analysis of samples. The final result covers the integration and statistical analysis of U-Pb and Lu-Hf isotopic data, from which a paper was published in the Sedimentary Geology journal, entitled: Andean fingerprint on placer sands from the southern Brazilian coast. -
