HaneyBiz fuels the success of local entrepreneurs by acting as a conduit to capital, expertise and a connected community. My responsibilities have included designing, planning & executing programs to inspire, engage, educate, and connect 1000+ entrepreneurs, investors, strategic partners and ecosystem champions annually. The result has been the creation of a vibrant and resourced community committed to increasing the rate at which entrepreneurs succeed. I have also managed content strategy & production of The Mark Haney Show, a weekly 1-hour interview style show about entrepreneurs, distributed via radio, podcast, social media. I currently support portfolio companies in accelerating their sales and marketing efforts through a combination of advisory and hands-on execution.

I/O Labs & The Urban Hive play a critical role in the Sacramento innovation ecosystem by connecting, supporting, and growing a thriving community of changemakers, entrepreneurs, investors, and stakeholders. My main role at I/O was to reactivate the Sacramento iHub, a network of private, non-profit, government and university partners to collaborate on building the innovation ecosystem in Sacramento per mandate from the Governor's Office of Business and Innovation. In addition, I advised on the strategic roadmap for both organizations as well as provided hands-on help with the creation and delivery of programs.

Velocity Venture Capital (now Impact Ventures) is an investment firm that funds information technology companies that converge with key market sectors like Security, Medical, Energy, and Education. With the goal of developing a pipeline of investable companies, I refined and executed a series of Innovation Programs that engaged successful entrepreneurs, investors, corporate venture groups, and service providers in an effort to educate and mentor regional startups and to convene the broader entrepreneurial ecosystem. I worked to foster strategic relationships with corporate, foundation, education and government partners. I also developed and led all marketing efforts and oversaw day-to-day operations.

Delegata is an international IT and management consulting firm that focuses on helping organizations transform. My core role was to manage the new business sales cycle from initial client contact through recruiting project resources and responding to RFOs to maintaining relationships throughout project delivery. I designed and led workshops and events, created and implemented corporate team building experiences and oversaw the execution of a strategic marketing plan to support all outreach efforts. While there, I served on the Advisory Board for Public Sector Partners' Project Delivery Summit, Big Data Forum & Government Transformation event.

Learning Street USA delivered hands-on, team based technology enrichment programs to preschool and elementary children. I developed and delivered curriculum, hired and trained staff, managed partnerships with school directors, handled customer registrations and relations, and marketing initiatives.

American Health & Safety Training delivered certification classes for individuals and companies in first aid, CPR, and AED use. I developed marketing materials for multiple customer segments, built an online training platform to scale their reach, and taught classes.

Worked on shows that aired on TechTV, HGTV & the History Channel. Developed story concepts, wrote, produced and edited segments, booked and managed crews and pre-post production contractors.
