As an interested and dedicated alumna of Chatham College, later renamed Chatham University, was tapped for key leadership responsibilities as the University focused more nationally and internationally on attracting students and raising funds to support the University. Advanced to leadership positions after service as Chairperson of the Events Planning Committee.Served on the University Board of Trustees during presidency of the Alumni Association Board as the representative of Chatham alumni.Played a significant leadership role in transitioning the Alumni Association Board from a Pittsburgh-centric, social events Board to a national, working Board designed to support enrollment and fund-raising goals, as well as to continue to communicate with and serve alumni.Re-worked job descriptions for the officers and committee chairs of the Board to make the positions more accountable offering the officer-holders fulfilling, meaningful roles in advancing of the University.Changed the meeting schedule of the Board from monthly to four times a year to attract and accommodate Board members from throughout the country.Worked to establish regional clubs where significant numbers of alumni lived.Significantly expanded and diversified the Alumni Association Board, both professionally and geographically, thus, positioning alumni to play a richer, more meaningful role in supporting and advancing the university.
