I am a highly motivated and experienced analytical/ biophysical scientist and have worked in the Seattle area in both academic institutions and biotechnology companies. I have primarily worked in the biotech industry where I have accumulated a broad knowledge base in drug discovery and drug development. I started my biotech career at what was then a small startup company, ICOS, and for the past 8 years I have worked at one of the largest biotech companies, Amgen. Out of these experiences, I have gained a unique perspective of the drug discovery and development process for both large-molecule biologics and small-molecule therapeutics. Success for me has come by being flexible, nimble to learning new technology. I enjoy the process of understanding and improving technology, but better yet, I enjoy applying technology in a meaningful way to a scientific question that ultimately produces insightful and impactful results. I am well organized and detailed oriented, but I do not lose sight of the overall goals. I also understand that for results to be impactful they need to be understood, so I take great care in communicating my results in well written technical reports as well as clearly delivered meeting and seminar presentations.Being a part of the biotech industry in Seattle has been very rewarding for me. I have had the good fortune of collaborating with many innovative scientists while contributing, in a meaningful way, to the development of a variety of novel therapeutics that have or will better the lives of patients.Participating Author on 11 publications and Author of 3 PatentsBiophysics, Biomolecular Interactions, Drug Metabolism, Drug Discovery, Drug Development, Bioengineering, Pharmaceutics, Biotechnology, Protein Chemistry, Assay Development,Biochemistry, Cell Culture, Monoclonal Antibodies, HPLC, Mass Spectrometry, Molecular Biology,Bioanalysis, High Throughput Screening, Pharmacokinetics
