Online MSW Adjunct Field Liaisons oversee the field education of social work students completing the Online MSW Program. Field Liaison serve as a link between the School of Social Work, field instructors, and students. The roles and responsibilities of the field liaison include:-orienting students to the field course;-helping field instructors design meaningful field education experiences for students;- providing students with a syllabus outlining expectations for the field course;- reading and grading student field course work requirements;- assigning final field education grades based on the field instructor's evaluations, assessments of field course work, and information derived from liaison conferences;- providing feedback to students regarding their progress in field education;- providing feedback to students when there are difficulties in field education;- being available to students and field instructors for consultation and problem solving;- informing the student's advisor when the student is experiencing difficulty in the field education or is at risk of failing field education;- making virtual agency visits via video conferencing and maintaining ongoing contact with the field instructors and student'- providing ongoing evaluation of the placement agency and field instructor's willingness and ability to provide learning opportunities and field instruction consistent with the learning objectives of the MSW curriculum as set forth by the Council on Social Work Education'- attending field liaison meetings held at the beginning and end of each semester.

-First rotation assigned to Psychosocial Rehabilitation and Recovery Center (PRRC). The PRRC is an outpatient treatment program that offers extensive skill-building group modules for Veterans diagnosed with a serious mental illness (SMI). Through a therapeutic learning environment, Veterans are guided, supported, and empowered to develop and strengthen their life, coping, self-care and social skills in order to attain their personal recovery goals;-Second rotation assigned to the Cancer Center to provide psychotherapy, hospice referrals, community resources, inpatient, outpatient, and the Infusion Center support to physicians and patients;-Facilitated social skills, and psychotherapy group sessions with Veterans with serious mental illness including schizophrenia, schizoaffective, bipolar, major depression with psychotic features, and Cancer patients;-Conducted one to one recovery coaching sessions, psychotherapy, and CBT modality during individual sessions;-Consulted with health care professionals including oncologist to meet patient’s needs;-Provided case management and assistance with access to VA and community resources based upon need.
