Managed all training, procurement, recruiting and contracting functions with best practices RFP processes. A primary focus on P&L responsibility with oversight into cross-departmental budgets. Built and implemented strategy to expand the company conference portfolio from 7 to 18 annual shows, moving into Europe and Asia.

In this role, the primary focus is to work with Convention and Visitors Bureaus, vendors and staff to create high-quality experiences at all O’Reilly technology conferences for attendees, speakers, and sponsors for these large scale tech conventions.Other essential functions include training new team members and temp staff, content management, keynote production, procurement, budget management with direct P&L responsibility, team and vendor management, contract negotiations, labor calls, input in the design and build of 50,000 - 300,000 sq ft. expo halls, and attendee events, in San Francisco, London, Singapore, Amsterdam, NYC, Boston, Austin, Barcelona and Berlin.

Planning and execution of multiple public events and product launches including the Maker Faire speaker series and Breast Cancer Foundation fundraisers as well as private events. Domestic and International, high end corporate event management from initial concept to completion. Duties included on-boarding contractors, contract negotiation, balancing budgets, site selection, leading client meetings, managing vendors, decor, entertainment, registration and final billing.
