Worked closely with Diana Partington, M.Ed. to teach a weekly skills group for adolescents under the supervision of Dr. Stephanie Vaughn.

One of sixteen students selected for a pediatric internship at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital. Opportunities included participation in both clinic and inpatient care in various specialties, most notably: Adolescent Medicine, Newborn nursery, primary care and pediatric oncology.

Attended a week-long program co-hosted by General Electric and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. The program featured a myriad of speakers and workshops designed to help participants prepare for various professions and introduced younger participants to mentors in their fields. As a part of the program participants were able to receive career guidance about resume preparation and interviewing for opportunities.

Teaching Assistant with the Educational Opportunity Fund for economically and educationally disadvantaged students. Responsible for conducting daily sessions for 20 students in the Public Speaking course over the summer semester and bi-weekly sessions for 48 students in Principles of Chemistry during regular Fall & Spring semesters.

Hired to maintain services as an assistant in the JLee’s lounge and supervise recreational activities, events and programs. As a part of Student Development JLee's employees were sometimes called upon to help organize and staff school-wide activities such as concerts and orientations/move-in days.

Admitted to the Clinical Research program with responsibilities to shadow a physician twice a week and conduct clinical research under the supervision of the esteemed faculty mentor Dr. Pierre Massion.

Conducted research at Duquesne University, as part of the Research Experience for Undergraduates program, funded by the National Science Foundation under Dr. Stephanie Wetzel, PhD on the comparison of over-the-counter medications using Powder X-Ray Diffraction (PXRD).
