Monique Wright Hudson has a strong litigation background and is a champion of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Monique recently served as Acting Human Resource Officer for EPA Region 4, where she supervised human resource professionals and managed HR programs including workforce development and planning, labor and employment relations, cultural diversity initiatives, recruitment, and employee benefits and services.At present, she serves as a federal personnel attorney specializing in labor and employment law matters. Monique is a former civil Assistant United States Attorney. As an AUSA, Monique led the district's Financial Litigation Unit and defended the interest of the United States from suits alleging statutory torts, constitutional torts, employment discrimination, and a myriad of other claims pending in federal court. Prior to joining the United States Attorney's Office, Monique was a trial attorney for the US Dept. of Labor, Office of the Solicitor where her practice mainly involved the litigation of issues arising under the Mine Health & Safety Act. Monique is admitted to practice in Georgia, Florida and the Federal Court for the Middle District of Florida.Monique was born on Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland. She lived in various cities in the United States and abroad before moving to Tallahassee, FL where she graduated from high school. She received her B.A., with honors, from The Florida State University making the Academic Deans List five consecutive semesters.Monique earned her J.D. in 2006 from Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana where she was the Executive Editor of the Southern University Law Review.
