As a graduate in Geography and Environmental Science, I began my career in the textile industry as a professional in environmental sustainability. Over time, I have expanded my knowledge and expertise to include social sustainability as well.In terms of environmental sustainability, I have experience in formulating policies, procedures and strategies related to sustainability. I am well-versed in the implementation of ISO-14001(EMS) & ISO-45001(OHSMS) in textile manufacturing factories, and have a thorough understanding of HIGG-FEM, BEPI, ZDHC, BVE3, GTW, CFW CLEAN CHAIN, PACT, STeP by Oekotex, and ETP management. Additionally, I possess strong skills in sustainability reporting and carbon footprint calculation.In the realm of social sustainability, I have acquired knowledge of various assessment tools such as FLA, BETTERWORK, BSCI, SEDEX, WRAP, ICS, WCA, NBCU, SLCP, etc. I have practical experience in facing these audits, managing related portals, preparing CAP and implementing management systems to maintain best practices. I am also able to prepare training material and conduct training for workers and managers. I have experience in implementing different programs related to women empowerment, gender equality, anti-abuse and harassment in RMG factories. I have the ability to conduct internal audits, create development plans, prepare audit reports, and analyze root causes to solve problems within an organization.In addition, I have a solid understanding of sustainability reporting as per GRI standard and sustainable certifications such as GOTS, OCS, RCS, GRS, Oekotex, etc. Currently, I am working on different programs related to circular fashion. Furthermore, I have a good knowledge of compliance/sustainability requirements of brands such as H&M, GAP, BESTSELLER, AMERICAN EAGLE, INDITEX, PVH, VF, NEXT, LIDL, WALMART, KOHLS, ALDI, etc.
