I started working as an illustrator in 1993. Me and my partner Dilma founded the "A2 Studio". The illustrations were hand made. We worked with paper, ink, brush, airbrush, color pencils and everything else that was necessary to obtain the best image. Our first work was done for Merit Agency. It was hiper-realistc illustration for the Bradesco Affinities Cards. We had to illustrate a grant flag of Santos Futebol Club for over big soccer fans. Our second work was a cover for the Exame Magazine, about the latest technologic inventation in that time: the cellphone. Thereafter we haven't stopped anymore. In 1997 the A2 Studio became DR2, as we are known in the brazilian market. Litle by litle we introduced the computer in our productions, which became one more tool like the pencil and the paper. The great demand of jobs, the technologic development and the constant wish to search new languages have made us expand our company. This way, the studio where Dilma and me have worked, nowadays, has a staff with 9 professionals among 2D and CGI illustrators, photographer, attendance and finance department. In order to present this new studio to the marked, we became Monstro Studio.
