Lead the UberEats Applied & Data Science organization: teams that optimize marketplace realtime matching and pricing, search & discovery (ranking & personalization) in the UberEats app, advertising (ads auction optimization), merchant services and experience optimization, as well as grocery/convenience and Delivery-as-a-Service functions.

Led teams in 3 areas:Search: Developed novel evaluation methods for Search ranking from live traffic and offline sources; improved algorithms for local search, and image search.Search Ads: Co-developed the Ads Blindness framework to measure the long-term effects of short-term changes to ads quality, led teams working on Ads UI changes, Product Ads (including the transition from organic to all ads-based Product Search results) and core redesigns of the Search/Search Ads page structure.Android: Led founding Android Data team, instrumented core Android OS powering insight into Android usage. Brought experimentation to Android by adapting the web-based Google experimentation system to work on mobile devices and within Google’s core platform services. Built first iteration of App developer metrics, which enables 3P developers to measure, test, and improve their app performance on Android.
