Mr. Abdellatif is a senior business leader with over 19 years’ experience strengthening the private sector, building its capacity and skills to innovate, become more competitive, attract investment, connect with international markets, and have a positive impact in terms of economic empowerment and job creation. Currently, he is working for a leading telecom operator. Prior to this, he served as Senior Business Development Adviser on DAI’s Palestinian Market Development Programme (PMDP), working closely with over 200 companies in diversified sectors including agriculture, ICT, services and industrial, to develop their products and enter export markets. This involved working closely with CEOs and senior managers advising and helping them develop robust business strategies and growth plans.Prior to this, Mr. Abdellatif worked as a General Manager with the Palestinian American Chamber of Commerce (AmChams), where he played a key role in promoting trade facilitation and maintaining a strong relationship with the Palestinian diaspora and Arab investors in the US through technical assistance and consultancy services to Palestinian companies to improve/introduce new products or services to penetrate US markets and for US companies to penetrate Palestinian markets. He designed and implemented policy reform programmes to facilitate bilateral trade . Mr. Abdellatif established and maintained relationships with the US Consulate General in Jerusalem, US Chamber of Commerce in Washington, US Department of Commerce, State Representatives, USAID, Middle East Partnership Initiative,, AmChams operating globally and in the MENA regions, international donors and others. He also worked with the Ministry of National Economy (MoNE), private sector organizations, and the donor community. During his tenure, he succeeded in designing and implementing a private sector development project to support Palestinian exports. Another career highlight was serving as Head of Business Unit of the 2010, one of the biggest investment events, which involved close coordination with MoNE and regulators including the Palestinian Investment Promotion Agency (PIPA), the Palestine Trade Center (PalTrade), Chambers of Commerce, and several businesses and trade associations. Mr. Abdellatif has also delivered and participated in several assignments with the Prime Minister’s Office, Palestine Economic Policy Research Institute (MAS), Business Women Forum, UNRWA, Belgian Development Agency, Oxfam Novib and the European Commission and the Leaders Organization.
