Answering client calls and emails is the bread and butter of what I do. To pull off this role is to get a good understanding of the internal business process and the roles of the partners involved in the whole process of freight and logistics. When client's or carriers call in or emails me about their issues and concerns, it's important to identify where it lies in the process to create a plan of action. It is also crucial in my role to establish a sense of trust and confidence because the ability to build that impact the business as a whole. My clients will get used to the product and technology we offer over time, but they will stay for the service. As a key player in the game, each client and each communication I have with them contributes to that success.

My role was to make customers as the number one priority with every interaction, in-person, or over-the-phone by following the Customer FIRST model when responding to customer inquiries regarding store layout, location of merchandise and services provided in the store. I was able to keep the costumers informed about the life cycle of their order/s including modifications made to it while ensuring the customers are aware of the "Terms and Conditions" of their projects and documented each conversations with customers to track requests, problems and solutions made. Going an extra mile, I proactively identified customers who need help, and escalate customer complaints or concerns, following the customer escalation process. I was also cashier trained – accurately collects cash, cheque, charge payments, or credit refunds of returns from customers using Point of Sale systems.

As a Barista, my purpose was to act with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the culture, values and mission of Starbucks. This is exhibited most critically during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep store operating to standard and to set a positive example for the shift team.Greeted guests with pleasant smile and superior customer service like anticipating customer and store needs by constantly evaluating environment and customers for cues and even familiarity of their frequent orders. It is my responsibility to create the Third Place environment during each shift through communication with my manager so that the team can respond as necessary. Following Starbucks operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling and safety and security, I was able to maintain a clean and organized workspace so that partners can locate resources and product as needed. Most obviously, my role was to provide quality beverages, whole bean, and food products consistently while being able to described menu items to customers and suggested products based on their preferences.

In Rockwell, 85% of my role was focused on Recruitment and Selection while 10% of my task is spent on Administrative duties to time-keep and run the Benefits Administration function as needed. The remaining 5% are spent working on my stretched assignments. Recruitment sharpened my abilities the most as the selection process was bound to a carefully selected set of standards. Using these standards, the applicants are profiled according to technical requirements and behavioral indicators that best fit the culture that Rockwell stands for. I performed the end-to-end recruitment cycle until the decision to hire is made. My administrative tasks honed my clerical abilities and my employee-customer management skills. Managing the recurring processes of benefits administration and timekeeping, I have developed a system of conducting my responsibilities that allows me to provide internal support for employees while still being able to hire and on-board new hires. Alongside my responsibilities, was the drive to take on extra miles through special projects that will impact the organization. The company gave me opportunities to recommend and act on issues that my team is facing using initiative, intuition, and compelling communication.

The special challenge with Johndorf was having to balance all HR responsibilities at once, to stand up as a lone person performing a multi-faceted function of HR. The exposures I got here are on the field of Recruitment, Benefits Administration, Timekeeping, Employee and Labor Relations, including Learning and Development. Handling these roles sharpened my prioritization skills and mastery of the full run of HR processes. I have engaged with employees and Top Management for important decisions concerning HR. Being in the main office, I and was able to handle other HR Associates from other branches of the company. My contributions to the company resulted to a successful company wide, two-day team-building activity attended by 150 employees, represented Johndorf on a labour settlement case that went favorably to the company, structuring the HR goals for all branches, and created a filing system for the main office.
