He operates at the intersection of strategy, design, technology, sustainability and resilience on projects at every scale.As a Global Vice President and the Global Market Director for the Built Environment Market Director at Jacobs, Monte is responsible for partnering across the business to create an integrated strategy for Architecture, Interiors, Building Systems, and Cities and Places. He also works with the team to attract and develop talent, drive innovation and provides executive sponsorship for key client accounts.Monte’s diverse experience and passion allows him to engage with clients at a strategic level in the delivery of innovative planning and design solutions. His specific areas of expertise include city-scale sustainability and applying systems thinking to a range of projects including urban regeneration, mixed-use/transit-oriented development as well as university, research and corporate campus master plans. Prior to his current role, Monte worked across the business to grow and expand the market reach, geographic presence and service offerings of the Advance Planning Group – a specialty strategy and design team focused on delivering facilities, portfolio and city scale solutions in each of Jacobs end markets. Monte joined Jacobs in 2012 after a 23-year career with HOK where he worked on a range of complex projects for aviation, healthcare, higher ed, commercial, corporate, institutional and federal clients. As a Senior Vice President, Monte was entrusted with building and leading a global team of planners, urban designers and landscape architects.In addition to his role at Jacobs, Monte also serves on the Executive Committee for the Landscape Architecture Foundation, the Governance Committee for the Atlanta District Council of the ULI and the Board of Directors for L.E.A.D.
