"It's amazing how much can be accomplished when no one cares who gets the credit." The position of Assistant Dean fits my strengths. I love to assist individuals/teams/organizations. In my current role, I serve seven departments to strengthen ties with alumni, donors, advisory boards, and industry partners. My colleagues describe me as "a hard worker who is committed to BYU and its students". Previously, I worked in Careers & Experiential Learning where I directed the STEM Team. Over the past 15 years, I have built BYU relations with hundreds of employers and thousands of alumni across the country and around the world. I am a developer by nature and have a talent for coaching individuals and teams. Before coming to BYU in 2009, I worked as a counselor and track coach for nearly 10 years. I coached 3 state championship teams and won many regional titles. In 2007, I was selected as the “Counselor of the Year” for the state of Utah.Outside of work, I love to don my running shoes and hit the trails. I competed in track and cross country in college many years ago and I have participated in several marathons including Boston. Some people might call me a driven person. While I do know how to push myself, I find real passion in keeping a steady pace and enjoying the journey. I intentionally surround myself with impressive and selfless people who lift and inspire each other.Strengths: Empathy, Positivity, Developer, Harmony, and Consistency
