CTO of the Identity-Driven Products Business Unit in Novell. Setting strategy for the business unit, identifying and working with key new partners and presenting the full Identity-driven vision to customers and the marketplace.

Responsible for ZENworks product line, integration with Red Carpet technology for Linux management, and executive sponsor of web services architecting of the overall ZENworks product line

Led engineering organization in a number of company offerings, including Red Carpet, Gnome 2, Evolution. Brought engineering processes and aligned corporate, sales, marketing, engineering goals. Worked with partners such as Cisco, Sun, Wipro, etc. Moved to Novell as part of the acquisition of Ximian.

Grew a bi-coastal engineering organization in a new business unit. Delivered two releases of a new product (Inktomi Wireless Data Accelerator) ahead of schedule. Focused market requirement efforts. Co-developed a wireless data traffic model.

Integrated WebSpective acquisition with Inktomi's Network Products Business Unit. Delivered integrated versions of Content Management and Caching products, up to $60M in revenues in 2000, with no attrition during first year and minimal afterwards. Led technical due diligence effort in acquisition of Fast Forward Networks by Inktomi. Evaluated other M&A opportunities in MA and CA

Drove the technology portfolio dedicated to content distribution solutions for business critical web site, steering engineering teams to adapt to changing market needs, executing formal Concept Engineering efforts and prioritizing requirements. Developed several business models and technical solutions using license and service-based production and revenue models, delivered major releases in six-month cycles. Managed technology relationships with other companies, including Cisco Systems, which led to a minority investment. Company was acquired by Inktomi for $106M, stayed as core leader and took over East Coast operations.

Designed role of Process Manager and its integration with other consulting roles. Wrote an internal book on Mission Critical projects at CTP. Led the team that desgined and developed an intranet with partner access for an HR consulting customer. Provided strategic consulting and created a parallel devlopment strategy for two separate projects, one of which had been over 1 year late and threatened the relationship with a major shareholder of CTP.

Company went public and was acquired eventually by Borland.

Worked on OSF/1 and OSF/Motif. Led development of the largest, at the time, program running on OSF/Motif. Worked on POSIX and standard test suite frameworks with the Open Group and Unix International.

Developed an energy-balance model to predict the rapid snowmelt in Spring in the Southern Pyrenees in order to use effectively water resources in downstream reservoirs for electricity generation, for Spain's hydroelectrical companies.
