Prior to my current assignment as a Welfare Fraud Investigator, I was the Manager in Curriculum Development/Distance Learning for Guidance Software, Inc. My main focus was developing interactive online eLearning courses and instruct classes on a variety of computer forensic topics.Prior to joining Guidance Software I was employed as a Digital Forensic Examiner and Investigator for Stroz Friedberg, LLC, where I conducted digital forensic examinations and investigated computer crime. I was responsible for analyzing various types of digital evidence collected from a range of electronic storage devices.Prior to Stroz Friedberg, I served as a Police Detective for the Long Beach Police Department, CA. and Orange County Sheriff’s Department. My assignments as a Detective have included detail assignments and training in Forgery / Fraud Investigations, Identity Theft Detail and Vice Investigations, including experience with court order/search warrant service and undercover narcotics operations.While assigned to the Computer Crimes Investigations Detail, I exclusively investigated computer related crimes. My assigned cases included homicides, sex crimes, robberies, email harassment, network intrusion, officer involved shootings, digital surveillance video recovery and child pornography / molestation investigations.I have received training from numerous government agencies and organizations such as the Federal Bureau of Investigations, United States Secret Service, California Department of Justice, International High Technology Crime Investigation Association, National White Collar Crime Center, and I am a certified computer technician.
