Falls Creek, Victoria

Employed seasonally (June-October) each year at Falls Creek was a great opportunity to have stable employment in between travel and overseas contracts. While working at Falls Creek I progressed from a rental technician to my eventual role as a store supervisor. Over my time at Falls Creek I was engaged in a multitude of activities including:Customer service Staff management SalesComplaint resolution Rostering School Group Facilitation OH&S RepresentativeDue to the seasonal nature and remote location of this role, lateral thinking and being able to adapt changing conditions was essential in being able to overcome the various challenges that eventuated. On contract in Japan I worked in a role that was familiar due to my experience from Falls Creek. However the real challenge was working in an international tourism location, where the clientele was varied coming from locations such as Europe, the USA, Hong Kong and local Japanese. Negotiating language barrier was an enjoyable challenge whilst trying to service customers and drive sales. Key Skills Developed:- Communication- Problem Solving- Initiative
