Monti is a Disabled American combat infantry veteran and active member of the community. He regularly organizes, writes about, photographs and speaks at neighborhood events. He has made available many of his papers on social justice and broken windows theory.Advocate for disabled, homeless, veterans and the neighborhood, is where Monti spends the majority of his time. In his capacity as the Community Outreach Director for Marian’s House, speaks for many who cannot speak for themselves. He regularly works with agencies, individuals and non-government organizations who work in the area. He also serves as Work Student at the Veterans Administration’s Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment office in Sacramento, California. Monti is also a full-time university student.Monti joined the Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment team in October 2016. Prior to this time period, Monti worked at Consortium for Community Services (CCS). CCS runs an outpatient mental health facility exclusively for mentally ill parolees. He served in a number of positions including Community Liasion. In this capacity, Monti was responsible for establishing vocational and rehabilitation goals for parolees.As a community advocate, Monti is involved in many organizations operating in South Sacramento. He is a Board of Directors member for Southgate Recreation and Parks District, the Martin Luther King Neighborhood Association and the South Sacramento Neighborhood Coalition. Social media is one method Monti expands on his strong network.
