Teaching is my vocation, and excellence in education, my goal.Teaching, giving classes, allowing students to think: this is my calling, perhaps because I myself enjoy asking questions about things every day.My professional path has been the management and leadership of our school since 1992. I have been guided by practice and continued reflection on pedagogic methods. I believe that schools represent a place of welcome second only to the family, where a child can find all the tools needed to grow and become an adult ready to go out into the world. Schools have a large responsibility, and both parents who trust their children to us and the teachers who work with them must be aware of it. A school must allow its students to grow intellectually, with well-made, rather than well-filled, heads, as Montaigne said. Their lives must be full, according to the methods of Alexandre Galí. The ability to think, rationalize, deduce, listen, observe, debate, induce, speculate, express, and be moved is key, but students must also learn to live, both alone and together with others, respectfully, joyfully, purposefully, and with a strong work ethic. All these things combined represent what I consider to be a good education.The organization of an educational institution in which all members are aware of the importance of their task can only be possible through teamwork, a well-defined project, vitality, intelligence, shared objectives, a healthy atmosphere, self-evaluation, and the will to continuously improve.As director, I put forth this very important aim year after year, while at the same time being mindful of social change and the way it requires the school to permanently revise its objectives.
