I am a scientist who has worked in several fields such as: cancer research, lipid analysis, gene therapy and protein quality control by ERAD. On those years I have managed to learn serveral techniques including: Gas chromatography, mass spectrometry, liquid chromatography, molecular biology techniques (such as PCR, DNA and RNA extraction and analysis, quantitative Real-Time PCR...), mammalian cell cultures (transfection, CRISPR/CAS9 system, isolation of single cell clones), Drosophila cell culture (transfection, siRNA), preparation and isolation of viral particles (adeno-, lenti- and retroviruses), proteomics (including regular SILAC, SILAC-NeuCode and Targeted proteomics)....I have also written projects, grant applications and articles for peer-revision. I have also worked as a research assistant at UIC where I gave lectures on Human Physiology (especially Blood Physiology, in this case, I also teached laboratory practicals on different blood tests). In this job I also had the opportunity to perform research in the effect of particulate matter on the expression of inflammatory cytokines.Now I am interested in the study of platelet-rich plasma therapies for the treatment of chronic wounds.
