After completing my PhD in 2023, I moved to Newcastle, Australia as a Fulbright postdoctoral researcher through the fall of 2024. My primary area of focus during this time is the impact of K-12 schooling on trajectories of children in foster care/out of home care. My hope is to build the case that other insitutions, such as education, can and should collaborate with social work to support this underserved population. There are real, attainable, realistic solutions that can be applied to improve quality of life for children in foster care.I also own and operate my own program evaluation company. Moon Program Evaluation and Research offers comprehensive evaluation services of programs and businesses from educational initiatives to work place efficiency. Additionally, I have 15+ years of experience as an educator, from the elementary level to higher education. In this role, among others, I advocate for children and families who have been historically underserved and/or marginilized.
