As a cashier, my responsibilities are to greet the customer, scan and bag their items quickly and efficiently, and ensure all eligible sales and discounts come off their total correctly. My main priority is to give them a great customer service experience, as cashiers are the last line of defense in the store. Additionally, when I am scheduled as a front-end runner, I am essentially head cashier. My responsibilities are to make sure the front end is running smoothly, delegate chores during periods of slowness, and help any cashier or customer who may need assistance. The main purpose of this job is to make less work for the front desk and office employees by assisting cashiers and customers. Part of training to be a runner involved training to be a self-check-out attendant. Primarily, I cover SCO during runner shifts when other attendants go on their breaks. My responsibilities here include monitoring the five SCO machines and any customers using them. I am to help any customer on SCO when they need, and ensure they are scanning their items correctly.

I completed the English 250 class as training to become a Peer Writing Tutor at the Penn State Scranton Learning and Writing Center. During my time as a tutor, I met with several students for weekly appointments and assisted them with English composition writing assignments. I provided drop-in tutoring hours for any student to meet with me about any writing topic, question, or assignment. I also created content for Instagram to promote the Learning and Writing Center's events and to foster student engagement. I represented the Learning and Writing Center in a professional and positive manner at campus events.
