Moon Chang is a New York based womenswear designer. Moon Chang earned her MFA degree at the Fashion Institute of Technology, New York, 2019, as a first cohort. When she graduated, she was awarded the first prize winner from FIT. Moon Chang built her experiences as a designer from both academic and industrial fields in NYC. Moon launched her own brand Moon Chang, 2016 and VENUS IN BLACK, 2021. Her S/S 2020 Hybrid Beauty collection made a first debut in official New York Fashion Week at Pier 59 Studios and Spring Studio, and her brand participated in Paris, London, Seoul and Shanghai fashion week. Moon also won many prestigious design competitions from industry, such as the Golden Winner of A’ Design Awards, Italy, the sponsorship winner of CAAFD NYFW I’m Possible Challenge and Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, H&M Design Awards semi finalist, CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund semi finalist, awarded as one of top 10 designers and special mention by Nike X LVMH Competition, one of three winners of Cotton Incorporated, and Finalist of CFDA, Amazon Fashion Studio Session and Organic Matters by Ralph Pucci. Moon Chang’s works have been displayed at many major department stores, such as Macy’s New York, Neiman Marcus, Texas, Saks 5th Avenue, Los Angeles, Dover Street Market and Isetan Japan Store, and Delano, Las Vegas. Her works were exclusively featured in major media, Schon!, Vogue, Elle, Numero, VoA, Wonderland, Harper's Bazaar, L’officiel, Blanc, Pap, Untitled, Basic, Bullett, Alpha, Flawless, IM, Yoko, WWD, Zinc, Vulkan, Demur, Neu Neu Media, Solstice, Awake, The Cool Hour, Yahoo, Flannel, REVS, Hers, Elegant, WGSN, Google Arts and Culture, etc.Moon Chang’s works have been loved by many celebrities.
