Stepping out of my comfort zone by leaving the retail world and obtaining my degree in elementary education has been a roller coaster ride to say the least. The experience has been fun filled to say the least in addition to the freedom of experimenting in the work field. After leaving the hustle of sales, which was rewarding in many ways, I have worked as a writer/photographer/editor for a couple different media sources and explored officiating sports, especially baseball. It is rewarding to be involved as an umpire in a game that I have coached for many years. Umpiring is my stress reliever after a long day confined within the walls of BCHS, where I attend to ICE and Independent Study students. Coaching golf in the summer the last two years has been awesome, also. My ultimate goal is to teach math in an intermediate grade-level setting. Becoming a Mathematics Interventionist would be another opportunity that I would like to explore.

  After substitute teaching and finishing my elementary degree, I have taught independent studies through the use of the software, Apex. I have coached golf at BCHS, also. Coaching has always been a passion of mine. Tutoring and mentoring students at the high school is rewarding. In addition to my classroom are the in-school suspension students. The challenges of dealing with behavior problems is enjoyable to me. Another duty performed at BCHS is tracking/monitoring tardiness.
