Specific responsibilities included: prepare, develop, and monitor $15 million dollar departmental budgets; grant and contract administration; personnel and payroll administration for more than 200 employees; strategic planning and analysis for ongoing and proposed health care initiatives; development and execution of computerized administrative and clinical systems; oversight of accounting and physician billing system for all Anesthesiologists and Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNA's), with more than 25,000 yearly inpatient and outpatient encounters in 35 different anaesthetizing locations; space and equipment inventory; departmental computer and network operations, primary interface between faculty and staff; and principal business and financial advisor to the department chairperson.

Specific responsibilities included: preparation development, and monitoring a $1 million dollar departmental, and $8 million dollar facilities budget; administrative monitoring of operational activities for the Dean's Office of the School of Medicine that included; plant maintenance services, facilities' security, minor and major renovation projects, environmental services, computer and network services, media support services, and fabrication and design services.
