Represent State agencies in employment claims, including Title VII and Chapter 760 discrimination and retaliation, Public Whistleblower Retaliation and FMLA interference and retaliation. Representation includes FCHR/EEOC charge documents, through mediation and litigation before Administrative, Federal and State Courts.

Served as Associate Attorney defending a variety of cases including employment discrimination, retaliation and wrongful termination under the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Family Medical Leave Act, breach of contract, complex business litigation, foreclosure actions, and dissolution of marriage. Assisted in the firm’s representation of a regional Employee Leasing Company, Homeowners and Condominium Associations and a residential substance abuse facility. As a small firm, handled every aspect of client representation including research, memoranda, correspondence and filing, as well as served as co-counsel to firm partner in Courtroom and American Arbitration Association (AAA) representation.

Served as Associate Attorney with the late Sen. Mallory Horne. Assisted in representation of general civil litigation clients. Coordinated all client contacts, billable hours and payments to firm and trust accounts. Lobbied on behalf of local government and school board clients. Advised clients on current Legislative climate regarding Local Government needs. Reported on a weekly and monthly basis on all Legislative action. Drafted End of Session Reports and presented summaries at Commission and Board meetings. Served as Grant Coordinator and Writer for our multiple Local Government clients. Presented before County or City Commissions for public hearings and grant reports. Coordinated the compilation of all information and materials needed to submit the grant. Drafted weekly reports detailing the status of Legislation and all current lobbying efforts. Organized the Legislative calendar including appointments with members, committee meetings and other events to ensure all relevant proceedings were attended. Created Lobbying Services proposals to further client development. Managed the publication of and authored articles for the firm’s quarterly newsletter
