In his current position, George works with the Chief Data Analytics Office (CDAO) leading projects and managing engineers across various geographic locations (New York - NY, Wilmington - DE, Hyderabad - India). He is responsible for collaborating with Architects & Product Managers to deliver cloud based tools and services (AWS, Azure, GCP, Databricks, Snowflake). He is responsible for hiring engineers and supporting their career development. His current projects all focus on supporting internal JPMC organizations with their Machine Learning Development Life Cycle journey. Although servant leadership is his primary responsibility, George has the privilege to contribute to architecting, development, deploying and testing all of the solutions his team delivers.

In his current role, George works as a Software Engineering Manager on an Agile team focused on building a Single Page Application using ReactJs + Typescript as the User Interface paired with a GraphQL backend built using Clojure(Script) integrated with ElasticSearch for searching and Postgres for storage. George has personally built the teams local testing environment using Docker containers + Docker Compose for container orchestration. George has worked with team members to deploy all projects on AWS using CloudFormation/CHEF and Terraform/Ansible. George has led his current team in delighting the customer by delivering a quality product. George has been a champion for implementing Software Engineering best practices (code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, etc) George has also been an active member of the community working with Middle Schools/High Schools to teach coding classes (MIT Scratch) and Education & Career planning via Junior Achievement. In his previous role, George works as a Senior Developer on Agile team focused on building a Single Page Application using Angular JS as the User Interface paired with a REST backend built using Jersey and Spring 4.x. George has worked with Architects to implement several backend supporting systems such as Active MQ for simple messaging, Spring XD for message processing and Mongo DB for message storage. The team is using Node.js, Require.js, and Bower.js to manage the UI dependencies and maven to manage the backend dependencies. George has been a champion for ensuring the proper unit testing for both the Angular UI and Java Backend. George also worked with a small team to implement the popular Circuit Breaker pattern using Netflix Hystrix along with the Netflix Turbine tool for cluster monitoring. George has been a primary developer support person for the Hazelcast Caching implementation as well as the Swagger REST documentation tools associated with the backend for the SPA application. The current application infrastructure runs solely on Amazon Web Services so George is actively working on improving his DevOps skills by using Ansible in the developer environment to deploy a cluster of Docker containers the comprise the fullstack of application servers + code needed to support the SPA. In the previous year George has worked with Senior Developers on his team to improve his Software Development skills specifically with Java/Spring/Velocity, Android Mobile Development, and iPhone Mobile Development. In 2011 George worked with a team to introduce a custom version of the SOAPUI framework within his organization for automating applications that use SOAP/REST/HTTP. Currently George splits his time between participating on the team that leads Mobile Application Manual/Automated Testing, participating on the team that leads SOAP/REST/HTTP automation specifically using SOAPUI, and Mobile Application Development using a hybrid framework of Native Mobile Platforms, PhoneGap, and HTML5.

George currently works as a Quality Assurance analyst with ING Direct in Wilmington, Delaware. George's current environment uses the Agile software Development method. In his current role, George uses HP Quality Center and VersionOne Agile project management software to perform functional software testing for ING Direct. He also uses open source tools such as Selenium IDE and FIT acceptance testing software. George currently is leading the testing effort for Native Mobile Applications (iPhone, BlackBerry, and Android platforms)
