As Co-Owner of Caliente Styles alongside my lovely wife Ursula - this Latin Boutiqe specialized in trendy clothing & unique accessoriies, arts & crafts.My next venture proved to be equally learningful and further sharpened my business acumen and leadership skills. Cafe Sebi - Savor the latin Flavor - a tropical restaurant specialized in Latin cuisine lunch & dinner; catering and banquets. I loved providing a delicious service to folks, while creating an envoronment that brought them pleasure and fun while eating and drinking amongst friends and family.Sold both businesses in 2005 after joining Heartland and moving to FL.

Working with the state's leading trade association, established in 1947, enabled me to establish meanigful relationships and influential connections in business. Additionally it brought many valuable experiences propelling me to be better; whether strengthening overall sales strategy & skillset to grow membership, rallying the troops for support around game-changeing industry legislation, or selling sponsorships/ads for the next big event or fundraiser. HASC has effectively worked to Promote, Educate and Protect the Hotel, Restaurant & Hospitaltiy industry of SC for over 60 years. We doubled our revenue (110% sales growth) during my tenure and established a much stronger foundation for the years to come. I won several national sales awards from our umbrella organizations, the National Restaurant Association and American Hotel & Lodging Association.
