Ronald McDonald House Charities, Upper Midwest is a home away from home for families of critically ill children who must go to the Twin Cities for treatment of their disease or condition. Founded in 1979, there was originally one Ronald McDonald House serving families who came from over 60 miles away for their child's treatment. With the addition of three locations inside Minneapolis and Saint Paul hospitals, RMHC-UM also serves local families of critically ill or injured children as a place of respite throughout the day, volunteer prepared Cooks for Kids meals and overnight rooms so families can stay close to their critically ill child during their treatment.Major Gifts: Individual and Corporate Sponsorships, Strategic Partnerships, Capital Campaign, Stewardship, Cultivate and Build Relationships, Endowments and Planned Giving, Signature Events, Public Speaking, Raiser's Edge. Annually raised over $700,000 or 1/4 - 1/5 of annual budget. Cumulative total of over $4.5M raised plus numerous signed letters of intent for planned gifts.
