My internship at GIZ took place within the International Services (InS) department. My mains duties included the following:- Supporting project managers and the regional Director with project acquisition and bid preparation in the tender business, especially for the European Commission and other international organizations as AFD, SADC, BAD, MCC etc.- Conducting market research and screening of new project opportunities- Conducting thematic research and information preparation- Writing project references for several technical offers, and drafting briefing notes and capability statements for donors and partners organizations- Internal and external Communication- Supporting project managers in the implementation of ongoing projects- Performing administrative and organizational support to other teams within the InS department

As national project coordinator at JICS, my main activities included but not limited to:- Monitoring the progress of the construction work (for schools and training centers) in the suburbs of Dakar and in the regions of Kaolack, Thies and Fatick in liaison with two departments and General Secretary of the Education Ministry in Senegal.- Coordinating of food and health projects and programs with several departments of the Ministry of the former Finance and Budget, the Ministry of Health and Social Action, and the Ministry for Local Development).- Ensuring the processing of invoices for services suppliers and contracting companies at the fiscal and custom authorities.- Managing the monthly budget of the Dakar office and keeping the accounts.- Preparing monthly activity reports of the Senegal office.- Providing support in bid processes (elaboration, publication & evaluation phases)

Translation services for consultants and development workers

As project assistant to the General Project Manager of the Senegal’s Maritime Infrastructure Establishment Project 2 (MIEP2) my duties included:- Preparing weekly and monthly reports of the work progress, - Preparing minutes of weekly meetings mainly with the National Agency for Maritime Affairs of Senegal (ANAM) along with other casual meetings,- Translating documents from French to English and vice versa,- Communication with local and national authorities.

During my internship at Ecobank, my main tasks were to:- to assist the Customer Service Officer in customer's account opening, - to file documents and communicate with customers (providing information about the services and the products of the bank and their benefits),- to assist in the processing of value papers (Payment order and Checks).

I spent five a winter semester at the Alpen-Adria-Klagenfurt University as an exchange student focusing on learning German, English, and Italian languages in addition to taking business and entrepreneurship courses.

During this internship, I first worked as a receptionist. My job was to manage phone calls from clients, organize bookings, and providing information regarding the hotel services. Later, I joined the hotel manager's office and worked as his assistant. I was in charge developing marketing strategies and ensuring the communication with major customers of the hotel.
